When I looked at the cover, it’s not really interested. But when I read the title and the synopsis of the book, it makes me so curios. Loving enemies? How can someone love the other but he really hate her family. And I wanted to know how their love story is.
The main characters of this novel are, Simon Blye (a man who love his girlfriend so much but he really hate her family) and Yardley Kittridge (Simon’s girlfriend and love her family so much). But in this novel also there are some characters, like Mimi (Yardley’s grandmother), Wilbur Kittridge (Yardley’s grandfather), Serena (Yardley’s cousin) and Beau Jennings (Serena’s husband).

In this novel I like Yardley Kittridge so much. Although she loves Simon so much, she more prioritizes her family. It described in this novel when Simon asked her to be his wife she refused it, except if Simon want to make peace with her family.
The moment that really touched me is when Yardley knew that she has brain tumor and her life is not long. In that moment Simon never left her and always wanted to keep her although Yardley didn’t want it, because she didn’t want to see him sad if she passes away. But Simon told to her that he serious to make relationship with her and want to get marry with her. So, Yardley accepted him to be her husband because she loved him too and her grandmother allowed her. Then after marriage, Simon and Yardley went to anywhere to cure Yardley’s illness. Finally Yardley cured and live with Simon happily ever after.
From this novel I have learned that if we love someone we have to fight for it. But if our family didn’t accept it, we have to persuade them not against them. Such as in this novel when Simon wanted to get marry with Yardley, he ready to make peace with her family and ready to take risk of it, because if Yardley’s family didn’t accept him, she wouldn’t marry with him.
