Actually, the cover of this novel is
not interesting. I chose this novel because I read the epilogue from this novel
that about mystery and one of my favorite novels is about mystery. From the
epilogue, I know that that this novel told about a president of United States
who was kidnapped by someone. I’m so curious with the story than I started read
this novel.
In this novel there were two main
characters, Frank Hardy (young detective, one of Hardy boys, Joe’s brother) and
Joe Hardy (young detective, one of hardy boys, Frank’s brother). And also there
were some characters in this novel, like Mr. Feton Hardy (Frank and Joe’s
father, a famous detective), Chet (Frank and Joe’s friend), Zandro (Magician,
President kidnapper), Manuel (Magician, Zandro’s rival), Happy Hortel (Zandro’s
assistant), Dr. Dualiver (Zandro’s brother and his assistant).
The
best part in this novel that when Joe, Chet and Feton try to help the president
and Frank from the kidnapper. The kidnapper was Mr. Zandro and he asked a
ransom billion dollar. So, Feton Hardy made a discussion with Zandro and asked more
time to look for the money. While Feton and Zandro had discussion Joe and Chet
entered secretly the room where president and Frank arrested. He waited for a
minute until came Manuel, he tried to divert Zandro’s attention with her magic
by making himself invisible. Suddenly puff of smoke rising in the room and
Feton with the police entered the room catching for the kidnapper. After that,
Feton investigate Zandro and actually Dr. Dualiver helped his brother to kidnap
the president.
I have learned from this novel, that
we have to be careful with everyone around us and don’t exactly believe with
them because something bad can happen to someone everywhere and everytime.
