When I saw the cover of this novel,
I was interested in because it have a good picture and from the chapter I guess
this novel told about the girl who was very luck. I’m so curious with the story
what kind of luck she got and then I started read this novel.
The main character in this novel was
Shalley Latham (the luckiest girl who has a beautiful face and was loved by two
handsome boy in the same time) and there were also some characters, like Mr.
and Mrs. Latham (Shalley’s parent), Jack (Shalley’s first boy friendwhen she
still live with her parent but she never love him), Phillip (Shalley’s second
boy friend when she was in California, basketball star, she met him when she
followed biology class), Hartley (Shelly’s third boy friend, met him at the
first she entered to the school), Jeanny (Shalley’s friend, Phillip’s second
girl friend). The character I like in this novel is Phillip, because he’s a
handsome and faithful person.
The best part in this novel that
when Shalley has a special relationship with Phillip, she didn’t study hard
therefore she got D in her biology lesson and also Phillip, he got F for his
biology. When Phillip’s father known about it, he forbid Phillip to play
basketball and met Shalley, Shalley felt so guilty because she think that’s all
because her and she try to went far from Phillip. In this situation Hartley
came to Shalley’s live and made her comfortable beside him. One night when
Shalley have a dinner with Hartley, she saw Phillip with his new girl friend
and that was Jeanny. Shalley so happy and she didn’t felt guilty anymore.
From this novel I have learn that we
have to study hard if we wanted get a good result. Because what we get is what we
do.
